This is an antique K & K Toy Co. "Hug Me" composition baby doll, likely dating to the 1920s-1930s. The doll features a full composition body with molded and painted hair, and sleep eyes. It has a classic baby doll form with jointed arms and legs. The maker's mark "HUG ME / A. KOPPEL INC." is stamped on the back of the shoulder plate. It comes with a separate vintage blue cotton dress which shows significant age and wear.

There is a large, significant crack running from the top of the head across the right eye. Stuffing is exposed at the left hip joint. The sleep eyes are stuck and do not function. The included undergarments are tattered. The blue dress is aged, faded, and stained.
