An authentic antique bride's basket by Holmes & Edwards of Bridgeport, Connecticut, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. This piece is crafted from quadruple silverplate and features a beautifully detailed, etched floral and foliate motif in the center of the bowl. The design is complemented by a textured, hammered-style rim and a sturdy pedestal base. The articulated swing handle is finished with ornate decorative mounts, characteristic of the Victorian and Aesthetic Movement eras.
