No. 8 Cast Iron Skillet
South Pittsburg, TN, USA

A vintage Lodge No. 8 cast iron skillet featuring the classic three-notch heat ring design. Based on the presence of the "MADE IN USA" marking and the "SK" (skillet) model code, this piece was manufactured between the mid-1960s and the late 1980s. Lodge cast iron is celebrated for its durability and heat retention, having been produced in Tennessee since 1896.

• Size number "8" and "SK" model code stamped at the 12 o'clock position
• "MADE IN USA" marking centered on the base
• Three-notch heat ring design (notches at 9, 12, and 3 o'clock positions)
• Dual pour spouts and teardrop handle hole

Condition: Needs restoration. The cooking surface shows significant surface rust and oxidation that requires stripping and re-seasoning. The exterior has moderate to heavy carbon buildup typical of age. No structural cracks or chips are visible. The skillet sits reasonably flat but should be checked for minor wobble during the restoration process.
