Oglala Lakota Native American Artistry
Multi-Stone Inlay
Approx. 17 inches

This traditional Native American fetish necklace is handcrafted by Oglala Lakota artist Dorothy Brave Eagle. The central focal point is a hand-carved black stone turtle, a powerful symbol of good health and longevity in Lakota Sioux culture. The turtle features a complex stone-to-stone inlay on its shell, composed of Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, and Coral, separated by delicate silver channels. The turtle is suspended from a strand of liquid silver style tube beads and round spacers.

• Inlay materials include Turquoise, Lapis, Malachite, and Coral accents
• Liquid silver style strand with barrel clasp closure

• Authentic Oglala Lakota craftsmanship

Condition: Fair to good vintage condition. There is one red coral tube bead missing from the strand on the right side of the pendant. The liquid silver style beads are made of base metal and are not sterling silver. The turtle pendant and inlay remain secure and intact. The barrel clasp is fully functional.
