Wood Banjo Weather Station
Mid-Century Style, Vintage Western Germany
This vintage weather station by Tradition features a classic banjo-shaped wood frame with a warm brown finish. It incorporates a circular aneroid barometer with a detailed silver-tone dial and a vertical spirit thermometer, providing both atmospheric pressure and temperature readings. The dial is marked "Western Germany," identifying its production era and quality craftsmanship from the mid-to-late 20th century.
• Solid wood housing with a traditional banjo-style silhouette
• Aneroid barometer with decorative compass rose and weather indicators
• Integrated glass spirit thermometer with Fahrenheit scale (10° to 120°F)
• Brass-tone metal bezel and clear glass dial covers
• Dimensions: Approximately 24" H x 8" W x 2" D (ruler visible in photos)
Condition: Good vintage condition with visible signs of age. The wood frame shows several surface scratches, scuffs, and minor finish wear, particularly on the rounded section surrounding the barometer. The metal bezel shows light surface oxidation. The glass and thermometer tube are intact. The barometer movement appears responsive, but accuracy for both instruments has not been professionally tested.
