This unique lot features five private recording discs documenting performances at the University of Nebraska Lincoln during the mid-1950s. These discs were produced by the Ash Williams Recording Service of Lincoln, Nebraska, and represent rare historical artifacts of the university's musical history, including performances by the Sinfonia, Madrigal Singers, and Symphonic Band. Lathe-cut recordings from this era offer a primary source for regional and collegiate music history.

Condition: The discs show significant signs of age and wear consistent with vintage acetate recordings. One black disc exhibits extreme surface crazing and cracking across the lacquer coating. The gray disc is oxidized and dull. The remaining discs show light to moderate surface marks and dust. Labels are intact with light yellowing and staining. Original paper sleeves show significant edge wear, tears, and discoloration. These items have not been tested and are sold with no guarantees.
