This expressive hand-carved wood sculpture depicts a traditional male figure wearing a conical salakot-style hat, carrying a young child on his back in a secure sling. The composition is grounded by two loyal dogs at the figure's feet and a tall spear or staff held in his hand. Carved from a single piece of rich, dark-toned hardwood, the work showcases elongated proportions and stylized facial features characteristic of Southeast Asian folk art traditions.

• Detailed textural carving on the conical hat and anatomical features of the figure
• Rich natural wood grain with a deep lustrous finish highlighting hand-tooled surfaces
• Sturdy integral base carved from the same wood block for stability

Condition: Very good vintage condition with a warm patina. The wood remains stable with no significant cracks or structural damage. Minor surface abrasions and small nicks consistent with age are present, particularly along the base edges. The spear is intact and securely positioned.
