This ornate ceramic mantel clock features a scalloped and scrolled porcelain body with traditional Victorian-style floral transfer decorations. The body bears the "W & A L Made in England" circular stamp on the reverse, identifying it as a product of the late 19th to early 20th century. The original mechanical movement has been replaced with a more modern battery-operated quartz clock insert, providing reliable timekeeping within a period-style ceramic casing.

Condition: Fair to good antique condition for the body. The ceramic exhibits extensive age-appropriate crazing throughout the glaze. There is a significant chip and loss of ceramic material at the 11 o'clock position surrounding the clock insert opening, as highlighted in the detail photos. The quartz clock insert has been tested and is in working condition. The base is stable with no structural cracks visible beyond the noted chip.
