A pair of antique andirons, or fire dogs, crafted in the Federal/Neoclassical Revival style popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The design features prominent pineapple finials, a traditional symbol of hospitality, set above a decorative balustrade fence with draped swags and acanthus leaf details on the feet. The bodies are cast brass with a developing patina, and the rear log supports are made of durable iron.

Condition: Good antique condition, consistent with age and use. The brass shows an unpolished patina with tarnish and minor surface marks. The iron supports have some surface oxidation. Please see photos for details.
