A vintage mid-century Japanese souvenir robe or smoking jacket. This piece is a classic example of post-war textile goods made for the export and tourist market. It is crafted from a vibrant blue rayon fabric and features intricate embroidery, including a dragon on the chest and a larger dragon and pagoda scene on the back. The underlying fabric has a tonal floral jacquard weave.
