An interesting vintage stringed instrument of the Oud or Lute family, featuring a traditional stave-back bowl construction. The soundboard is decorated with a geometric rosette and a distinctive heart-shaped wood inlay, accompanied by the poetic inscription "The myriad Mysteries of Music" in Gothic-style script. This smaller-scale instrument is likely a travel oud or folk-style lute.

Condition: Fair vintage condition. There is a significant structural separation crack along the staves on the back of the bowl that will require repair for optimal resonance. The instrument shows age-related wear to the finish and wood throughout. All five tuning pegs are present. Strings are aged and should be replaced for performance.
