These vintage Chicago "Flying Scout" No. 101 roller skates are a classic example of mid-century sidewalk skates. The Chicago Roller Skate Company was a prominent manufacturer known for durable steel construction and ball-bearing wheels. The "CHICAGO" brand name and patent number 1,910,193 are clearly stamped into the metal footplates, matching the included original retail box.
